Tanfield has been active in the AWP market for more than a decade, producing lifts for Aerial Access before purchasing Aerial as part of its acquisition of SEV Group in 2004. In 2006, Tanfield expanded with the acquisition of UpRight and again in 2007 when it acquired Snorkel. Tanfield has achieved global growth, increasing the product range from 10 models in 2006 to more than 40 machines today, with aerial lifts to compete in all key volume sectors, along with unique, specialist products.
A growing network of around 200 independent distributors and sales agents provide high quality local language sales and product support across Europe, Scandinavia, Russia and the Baltic States, the Middle East, Africa and parts of Latin America and the Asia-Pacific region. Through acquisition and organic growth, Tanfield is now one of only four aerial work platform manufacturers in the world that have a truly global footprint.
In 2010, Tanfield signed a licensing and manufacturing agreement with Pop-Up Products Ltd, that created a new world leader in the growth sector of low-level access; compact, lightweight, portable machines that bring the safety and productivity benefits of aerial lifts to trades and professions that were previously reliant on ladders, steps and scaffold.
